DaKine Snowboard Travel Bag to haul your board and bootsBased in Hood River, Oregon, DAKINE was founded in Maui, Hawai'i in 1979 by longtime surfer, Rob Kaplan. DAKINE'S first product, a revolutionary new surf leash, quickly gained worldwide popularity. This first leash led to more surfing related products, built to withstand the punishing conditions of the surf on the north shore of Hawai'i. Sturdy Protection, Well-Designed,
I bought a 165 DAKINE Men’s Tour Bag to travel with my 155 snowboard. The extra space enabled me to pack all of my snow gear around the board so that I didn’t have to take a separate check-in bag. There are compartments for the boots. I had no problem fitting my board in with the bindings attached.
I did not think it was too heavy to carry around, because I only had to get it from the baggage carousel out to the rental car, which was about a hundred meters or so away. If you think you will be walking around with it a lot, or you think you might be bothered by the weight, you may want to look at something else. The Sportube Series 3 Snowboard/Multi Ski Case is significantly more expensive, but it provides more protection and it has wheels.

|solid bag at a solid price,
This bag is solid- it provides good padding and protection and is rugged enough to endure abuse from the cargo crew at the airport. The boot pockets are a nice addition to keep your boots and the crud on them isolated from your board. Bag is roomy enough for my burton 160cm board and helmet and clothes- my burton p1 bindings just barely fit without having to adjust them. The heel cup bar pushes up against the edge of the zipper when I close the bag. All in all, a solid bag.

|Nice study bag that does its job well.,
This is a nice study bag that does it’s job well. The boot pockets are nice. The entire bag is lined with a water proof fabric that keeps wet gear from leaking out. An extra pocket would have been nice for smaller gear, but everything does fit fine in the boot pockets. When I go snowboarding now this bag has everything I need to bring, and keeps me from leaving anything at home.
